The Paul & Dixon Ten is back and ready to take the field!

On August 12, we again will be participating in the annual Easterseals Softball Tournament, taking on the international food processing and packaging company, Robert T. Reiser & Company of Canton, as we restoke the rivalry with our opponent of the last two annual contests.  

Our friendly softball battles have become true highlights of our summers, and we’re thrilled to be on the field again.  More important, the exhibition is all for charity, with the proceeds going to Easterseals.  Last year, our fundraising efforts resulted in a Paul & Dixon contribution of nearly $7,000, and we are hopeful of even better results this year.

As many of you know, through your continued generosity, we together have raised over $160,000 in the 26 prior campaigns.  Some of you have been with us from the start, for which we are infinitely grateful.  Of course, we also understand that current economic conditions may be affecting you.  We simply ask that if you can, you consider giving.

Again this year, as a sign of our continued commitment to Easterseals programs, Paul & Dixon will match dollar-for-dollar each contribution we receive.  And, in recognition of the 171st anniversary of our founding, we’ll donate $171 for every $100 donation we receive.  Every little bit helps (and is doubled, too!).  See what your dollars can mean:

-$50 pays for a physical therapy session that helps a disabled child to learn to walk

-$100 pays for 30 therapeutic swim lessons for someone recovering from an auto accident

-$2000 pays for 10 days at camp for a youngster in a wheelchair (our contribution last year was enough to pay for two camp stays!).

We couldn’t be happier to swing bats and run bases again this year, but more than anything we hope this year’s Easterseals campaign will be a successful one.  Please help us make that happen!
