If you are now making deliveries from a restaurant with a vehicle not owned by the restaurant due to the governor’s recent closure order, you need to contact us.
Personal auto insurance policies do not provide coverage for vehicles used to transport or deliver goods, and with the restaurant closure order, many restaurants have instituted delivery services.
Fortunately, most insurers have stated that they will provide coverage for such newly-emerging situations, but many have required that they be notified by the policyholder’s agent.
As your agent, we are advising you to contact us to discuss. Please note that our offices are closed to the public and our staff is working remotely in tandem with our call center.
Emailing your Paul & Dixon account manager is the most effective way to communicate. You may access your account manager’s email here.
If you call, our call center is routing incoming calls to the appropriate staff. The call center has access to our database and will route calls via electronic communication to the account manager. Staff will then return your call as soon as possible.
Our return call to you likely will display an “unknown” or “private” number, so please be prepared to answer. If you do not, we will follow up with a text from 508.996.8593 (our downtown office number), asking when we may call you again.
If this notice does not apply to you but you know of someone to whom it does, please pass it along and implore him/her to contact his/her insurance agent.
Please stay safe and healthy!
