For more than 170 years, Paul & Dixon Insurance has been a trusted part of the South Coast community, helping generations of families and businesses protect the things they love. Founded in 1852, Paul & Dixon is one of the region’s oldest independent insurance agencies and among the first to provide insurance protection for businesses and families in Greater New Bedford.

Today, we are excited to share an important milestone in our continued journey.

We’re Moving!

Paul & Dixon Insurance will soon be moving to a new location, just a few blocks from where many of our clients have come to know us over the years.

As part of this transition, we are thoughtfully bringing our two offices together into one beautiful, centralized location. By uniting our entire team under one roof, we will be able to collaborate even more closely while continuing to provide the personalized service, expert guidance, and trusted relationships our clients have always relied upon.

We plan to move during the week of July 13, 2026. Final details will be shared toward the end of June through our website, email communications, and upcoming magazine updates.

Our New Home at the Historic Beauvais House

Our new office will be located at the Joseph Arthur Beauvais House, 404 County Street in New Bedford.

Built in 1883, this remarkable landmark is a beautifully preserved Queen Anne Victorian building known for its striking red brick exterior, intricate architectural details, and historic character. The preservation award-winning property has been carefully restored over the years, retaining many of its original features while serving as one of downtown New Bedford’s most distinguished office buildings.

In many ways, the Beauvais House feels like the perfect home for Paul & Dixon. Constructed just three decades after our agency was founded, the building reflects the same values of longevity, craftsmanship, and stewardship that have guided our organization for generations.

Situated along historic County Street, one of New Bedford’s most iconic and architecturally significant corridors, the building places us among the rich history and enduring character that define our community.

Looking Ahead to 175 Years

As we approach our 175th anniversary in 2027, this move represents both continuity and growth.

While our new location provides room for our team to work together more effectively and positions us for the future, it also reflects our commitment to preserving the values that have shaped Paul & Dixon since 1852. For nearly two centuries, our mission has remained the same: helping clients navigate risk, protect their assets, and gain peace of mind through trusted advice and exceptional service.

The Beauvais House offers a warm, welcoming environment that honors our history while supporting our future. We believe it is a place where our clients will feel just as comfortable, confident, and at home as they always have.
